Location

Finse is situated in Ulvik Herad in Hordaland. The hotel, Finse 1222, is located at the train-station, the highest situated station at the famous Bergen Railway. The natural surroundings are spectacular with Hardangervidda in the west and Hallingskarvet in the east.

There are no roads leading to Finse, the only way to get here is by train, bike og skies. Finse is often referred to as the meating-point between the eastern and western part of Norway. It takes about 4,5 hours with the train from Oslo and about 2,5 hours fro Bergen. There are 4 trains leaving in each direction every day (check www.nsb.no for time-tables).
