Rallarvegen - The Old Navvy Road
The Old Navvy Road is one of Norways most fascinating biking routes. The road was built by hand in the early 19th century to transport equpment and provisions in relation to the construction-work at the Bergen Railway. The Old Navvy Road starts at Haugastøl in Buskerud, passing Finse and down to Flåm in Sogn and Fjordane.
The Old Navvy Road has become one of Norways' most popular biking routes. The tour offers a journey through Norwegian culture, history and nature. The road is dramatic, lush and challenging. The road is fairly rough with partly coarse surface. We encourage everyone to show respect for eachother, wildlife and the nature.
The weather may change fast in the mountians, we recommend to bring warm clothes for your tour on The Old Navvy Road. And remember repair-kit for your bike.
